FUTUNA CHAPEL, Friend St, Karori  Tuesday 15 July 2008, 7.30pm

As part of their project of recording the Pièces de clavecin en concerts (1741) by

Jean-Philippe Rameau, Restoration will be presenting a performance of the

programme in the Futuna Chapel.  Proceeds from the concert will contribute to

the fund for the restoration of the chapel.

ThePièces de Clavecin en Concerts are among the real masterworks of the 18th

century chamber music repertoire, ranging from dramatic movements and dances

later reworked by Rameau for his operas, to slow movements of often ethereal

beauty.  The superb acoustic of the Futuna chapel will be an ideal venue to hear

this exceptional music.
