Masterstrokes
Bach, Telemann, Handel
In this programme, RESTORATION performs works by three of the greatest masters of the baroque – Telemann’s overture-suite based on the zany characters of the commedia dell’arte, one of Bach's most beautiful works, the harpsichord concerto BWV 1056 in its original key of G minor, and Handel’s concerto that he reworked for strings from some of his greatest theatrical triumphs, Alcina, Terpsicore, Parnasso in Festa and Athalia.
Although the performances of this programme had to be cancelled due to the Covid pandemic , we were able to proceed with recording some of the music from the programme. Some excerpts are now available here (video) and here (audio) on our website.
